Noseride Tee

A surfer with his toes at the nose, drawn in one thin black line, and the wave running back along the hem to a gull and our name. Noseride is the first of the single-line series, small black line drawings of the moments that make up a longboarder's life.

It sits low on the left side, by the hip, right up against the side seam. From the front you see the wave and the surfer at the edge. From the side you see the surfer. Chest and back are blank.

The tee is cream because we print it cream. The blank is white cotton, and the whole shirt is printed with water-based pigment ink before it is cut and sewn, which is the only way to get a print this close to a seam.

HONESTLY
This tee is not organic, and it is the only piece in the line that is not. Every other blank we use is certified organic cotton, but none of them can print across the side seam, and this drawing does not work anywhere else. The cotton here is conventional, with 4% elastane, and there is no GOTS or OEKO-TEX behind it. We would rather say that plainly than hide it in a footnote. Two more things. The cream is printed, so the inside of the collar and the edges of the seams show the white base fabric. And the shirt is cut and sewn by hand after printing, so the exact spot where the surfer lands moves a little from shirt to shirt.

Nothing is printed until someone buys it. We only produce items we get an order for, avoiding textile waste from overproduction.

CARE
Cold wash, inside out, hang dry. Do not iron the print.
