Noseride Hoodie

The hoodie. Black cotton, printed before it is cut, with the surfer on the back.

One thin white line, a longboarder with his toes at the nose, and the wave running back along the hem to a gull and our name in yellow. Noseride is the first of the single-line series, small drawings of the moments that make up a longboarder's life.

On the front, only the gull, our name and a piece of the wave across the chest. Turn around and the whole line is there, low across the back, the surfer out by the right side seam. The blank is white cotton. We print the whole thing black before it is cut and sewn, which is the only way to put a drawing that close to a seam, and the only way to get an all-over print on cotton at all.

HONESTLY
This hoodie is not organic. No certified organic blank can be printed before it is sewn, and that is what puts the surfer on the seam. The cotton here is conventional, with 5% elastane, and there is no GOTS or OEKO-TEX behind it. We would rather say that plainly than hide it in a footnote. Three more things. The black is printed, not dyed, so the inside stays white, the edges of the seams can show a little white, and the black will soften a touch over many washes. It is cut and sewn by hand after printing, so the exact spot where the surfer lands moves a little from hoodie to hoodie. And it is cotton, so it can shrink slightly. Wash it cold.

Cold wash, inside out, hang dry. Do not iron the print.
